Your Red Wings (thus far) EA NHL '10 Ratings

Got these from a fanpost at Winging it in Motown...

Henrik Zetterberg; 90
Pavel Datsyuk; 92
Johan Franzen; 88
Niklas Lidstrom; 92
Brian Rafalski; 87
Niklas Kronwall; 86
Darren Helm; 83
Justin Abdelkader; 76
Dan Cleary; 84
Brad Stuart; 86
Chris Osgood; 86
Jonathon Ericsson; 85
Kris Draper; 80
Kirk Maltby; 83
Valteri Filpula; 85
Ville Lenio; 80
Darren McCarty; 76
Doug Janik; 78
Jeremy Williams; 77
Kris Newbury; 73
Andreas Lilja; 82

What do you think? I think we're missing a goalie. I think there's no way that Darren McCarty, who announced his retirement, should be on that roster. Other than that, I'd say they were pretty fair.

Oh and thanks to MrNorris at Winging it in Motown for supplying us with what the cover of this year's game should look like.

  1. Nice to see Mule get a ratings boost, but I hope that he's actually good in this year's version. I'm pretty sure that he's an 84 in NHL 09, but he plays more like a 74.

I'd also like to know on what planet is Maltby 3 points better than Draper or Leino. But as somebody who has played EA games since the age of 6, I can't say that this is a surprise. The game itself is suppose to make people literally jiz their pants so I'm sure this will all be forgotten after about 10 minutes of playing it.

  2. I completely agree Tyler. How in the hell is Maltby better than Draper and Leino...that was the first thing that jumped out at me. Also, what the hell is Abbadabba doing at a 76? He's below two guys I've never heard of who are at 77 and 78...Williams and Janik? Oh well. Unless they make it for Wii I'm not buying anyway...

  3. It's good that they let you edit ratings and stuff now. Maltby has inexplicably been above average to good in every EA game this decade. Offensive skill be damned, if you've got that all important "defensive awareness" then you're good for at least an 80 overall.

  4. Well remember, that this year the after the whistle activity is like a new mini game so that was probably what gave "All yap and no fight" Maltby a little boost in ratings...
