Round 6: Pavel Datsyuk

Only two more to go, and they're major. Remember when Flordida tried to trade us Luongo for this guy? Way to hold firm, Kenny. That's why we love you.

Pavel Datsyuk: Selected in the 6th round, 171st overall in 1998.

Born: 7/20/78. 5’11, 194 lbs.

Dangles has averaged 92 points per over his last four regular seasons. He’s still chasing down that elusive 100 point marker, something that hasn’t been done since Fedorov was still in town. Not only is Datsyuk one of the most gifted puck-handlers that the game has ever seen, he also has tremendous defensive capabilities and with a bit of a mean-streak, he’s one of the most complete players to ever play the game of hockey. 3 NHL All-Star Game selections (2003–04, 2007–08, 2008–09), 4 Lady Byng Memorial Trophies (2005–06, 2006–07, 2007–08, 2008–09), 2 Frank J. Selke Trophy (2007–08, 2008–09) an NHL Plus-Minus Award (2007–08) and a finalist for the Hart Trophy in 2008-2009. His stats and his accolades speak for themselves. But if you ever get a word out of the soft-spoken Datsyuk, you’ll find out that he has quite the sense of humor…just ask Dr. Rhamani. To get this guy in the 6th round may have been one of the biggest steals in NHL history…guess who else might be nominated?

Best "wind-aided" goal ever. S*ck it, Chicago...and I was there to see it.
