Former Wing, Legace signs with Hurricanes

The Carolina Hurricanes have signed veteran goaltender Manny Legace to a one-year, $500,000 deal, general manager Jim Rutherford told ESPN.com on Monday.

Last time we saw the man, it looked like he was sleeping on the bench after getting pulled against the Wings.

Some memorable quotes from everyone's favorite Eeyore...

"You play your heart out for a team, and the minute you hit a little bit of a rough patch, they dump on you."--After getting waived by St. Louis

"I feel like going home and hanging myself."--After getting eliminated in the first round, allowing 18 goals.

Good luck, Manny.  Maybe we'll see you on January 14th, when the Hurricanes come to the Joe for their one and only meeting with the Wings this year.
