Drew Miller makes Debut Tonight

Helene St. James of the Free Press reports that Drew Miller will be playing with Justin Abdelkader and Brad May tonight.  Apparently Kirk Maltby is sick.

He gets an opportunity to get in right away, which is good. We’re excited to have him here.”--Mike Babcock

Also, Chris Osgood is feeling a little under the weather, so Jimmy Howard will get consecutive starts.  Daniel Larsson has been recalled from Grand Rapids to back-up Howard tonight against the Canucks.

So as far as I can tell, here are your lines...

Holmstrom-Datsyuk-Bertuzzi
Leino-Zetterberg-Cleary
Draper-Helm-Eaves
Miller-Abdelkader-May

Lidstrom-Rafalski
Kronwall-Stuart
Ericsson-Lebda

Howard
Larsson

...welcome to the fold, Drew

  1. Now that 7 different Red Wings all scored their 3rd goal of the season and we had a 50% PP last night, i'm hoping tonight we really get things going. Not necessarily 9 goals again but at least back on track with the Power Play and a bit more confidence with some of our goal scorers who were slumping.

We also did well on the penalty kill but that could be attributed to the lack of offense by the Blue Jackets. At least that can be a confidence booster as well.

    Wow thanks Columbus. You're awesome!

  2. Hard to believe though that seven of those twelve forwards weren't on the roster/regulars last season.
