Datsyuk out, Lebda in

Of course, they're not subbing one for the other...but those "tests" that were run when Babcock "didn't think he was injured"? Well, they're keeping #13 sidelined tonight against the Kings according to Khan(!). Oh joy.

"He'll be missed, but other players will get a chance to play more, get a chance on the power play. So someone else has to step up.''--Nik Lidstrom

Lines:
Bertuzzi-Zetterberg-Cleary
Leino-Filppula-Williams
Helm-Abdelkader-Eaves
Holmstrom-Draper-Maltby

Lidstrom-Rafalski
Kronwall-Stuart
Ericsson-Lebda

Osgood
Howard

So Cleary gets promoted, the "Two Finns and a Williams" line is reunited, and Holmstrom is rewarded for leading the team in points by getting bumped to fourth line. Interesting. Aside from the Flippula line, Helm teamed up with Abdelkader and Eaves has "energy line" written all over it.

Even with this latest setback, I'm still confident in this line up. Someone gets Kronwalled tonight...I can feel it.

  1. Suck's that Pav's out - hopefully, it won't be for long - but I'm glad that Hang is getting back to the Center position. It seems like he has a different mentality when he's centering a line - more dominant and confident somehow. We'll see if it pays off tonight.

  2. Jesus.

Tonight, we are a 3 line team. The problem with this lineup is that Homer on line 4 makes him worthless, Homer with good players makes me a decent player.

  3. I heard a rumor on Twitter (that was waiting to be confirmed) that Pav has broken ribs. Not sure if it's true yet.
