Post-Stinker Comments from Wings

Found this early this morning on detnews.com...
"It's early. The first two games we didn't play well. The last two we were better and tonight (a 6-2 loss to Buffalo) we were awful. We just have to bounce back and get a rhythm going." --Henrik Zetterberg

Here's what Coach Babcock had to say about his top six forwards having 4 goals and having a collective -10 rating thus far in the season:

"We need them to score. But this one (Tuesday), we were in this one together. We can't look at anybody but the whole group on this one. Coaches and players, we just didn't get the job done."

Darren Helm finally got into a regular season game after injuring his shoulder 4 weeks ago in training camp. While the little guy still looked quick and worked his but off for his 16 minutes of ice time, he still was held pointless and was -1 on the night. Here's what the Nightmare had to say:

"It's been a long time. You don't ever expect to get hurt in camp, but it happens and you fight through it. I just look at it like it's given me an extra month to get even more excited about getting out there. I didn't play very well, but I felt good."

Well at least it looks like they're taking some accountability for that slopfest of a game last night. If they plan on playing like that against the up-start Los Angeles Kings tomorrow, we had all better hope that the Rangers put a hurting on LA tonight. The Wings should be able to take full advantage of a West Coast team coming to the Joe, playing two consecutive nights.

Let's try and move on from last night, shall we?
